Sadly the only way to get ical to sync with your google calendar is to crete the calendar on google, and export the calendar to a.ics file, and import it to google calendar. The only reason you can't share a mobile me CalDav calendar with is because Apple 'Forbids it'. They are free, support CalDav, why are you sticking with that defective Apple crap'. She has no interest in paying $100 and running MobileMe to see my CALDAV compliant calendars.
